Back Orders

So what is a ”Back Order”?

Our site features “Real-Time” stock so that you can tell whether an item is in stock or not before placing an order. Some items have to be ordered in from suppliers in the UK, Europe or further afield. Although we have the means to monitor our own stock levels we are unable to monitor our suppliers as well. This will sometimes result in people placing orders for items that are out of stock with our suppliers. If this is the case we aim to contact you within 24hrs with details of an anticipated delivery date. At this point the item is placed on “Back Order”.

I have placed an order for multiple items and one is on Back Order. Can you send me the In Stock items now and the remainder of the order when it comes into stock?

This would really depend on multiple factors and each order is judged on its own merits. We would not do this for orders outside the UK for instance as the postage costs would not make this feasible. We will usually advise whether we are shipping part orders or not.
