The Ivanhoe Sword is a product of the world famous Art Gladius factory in the historic sword manufacturing city of Toledo, Spain. Toledo has a reputation for producing some of the finest swords in Europe and has been a centre of sword production for centuries. The antique brass hilt features a pommel with lion's head decoration and wire wrapped grip. The guard features a heraldic shield at its centre supported by Saxon dragon heads.  The blunt stainless steel blade features heraldic decoration and is suitable for display only.

The hilt fittings and grips are painted with bright enamel paint to accentuate the details of the intricate designs. On some swords in the range, gold paint is also used to give the swords a “high status” look.

This Charlemagne Sword is a copy of a sword in the Louvre that is traditionally attributed to being Charlemagne's personal sword. It is called “Joyeuse” (Joyous) and was carried at the coronation processions of the French kings from 1270 to 1824. The 11th century Song of Roland describes the sword: “Charlemagne was wearing his fine white coat of mail and his helmet with gold-studded stones; by his side hung Joyeuse, and never was there a sword to match it; its colour changed thirty times a day”.

Our Crusader Sword is a product of the world famous Art Gladius factory in the historic sword manufacturing city of Toledo, Spain. The antique brass hilt features the cross pattée of the Templar Order on the pommel and belted grip. The Cross of St George is featured at the centre of the cross-guard.  The hilt has an antiqued brass finish and cord wrapped grip. The blunt stainless steel blade features heraldic decoration and is suitable for display only.  

The black leather effect scabbard has decorated throat and chape reinforcements. The throat features a heraldic lion’s head motif whilst the chape at the base features a heraldic shield design.

Our Templar Sword is a product of the world famous Art Gladius factory in the historic sword manufacturing city of Toledo, Spain. It features the words SIGILLUM MILITUM TEMPLI XPISTI (Seal of the Knights of Christ) emblazoned around the pommel encircling a Templar Cross with knotwork decoration. The guard also features the Cross Pattée and heraldic imagery on the quillons, and the “Two Knights on One Horse” (said to symbolise the poverty of the order) symbol at the centre of the guard. The handle also features Christian symbology and a black textured grip. The stainless steel blade features etched heraldic designs. This item has a blunt blade and is manufactured for display only.
