  • William the Conquerer Sword

The year 1066 AD will forever be known as the turning point of British history with the Norman invasion, led by Duke William “The Conqueror”, soon became the first Norman King of England. This magnificent sword represents the epitome of this heroic man. The long, wide fuller down the blade lightens the weight, making it a formidable weapon. The Brazil-nut shaped pommel has been inset with the battle cross of William, as well as the blade’s fuller. As legend goes, upon landing on the shores of England for the first time William fell flat on his face. Upon rising, he turned and said, “I have already grasped my Kingdom.” The straight hilt has been inscribed with this phrase in Latin: Jam Accepisse Regnum. Finally, the sturdy wooden grip has been covered in a deep, blood red leather and has been wound with a braided silver wire. Accompanying this fine blade is a wooden scabbard, covered in a brown leather and embossed with the cross of the Conqueror. A matching blood red belt with period ties is attached.

  • Sword of Tancred

Prince Tancred (known in French as Tancrède de Hauteville) was a Norman lord of Southern Italy who was among the first noblemen to join the Crusades in 1096. He saw considerable victories on this bloody campaign, and after the fall of Jerusalem he acquired the title Prince of Galilee. Our exquisite Sword of Tancred has been researched from this legendary knight’s adventures.

The pommel has a representation of the red Nurit flower of Galilee on the one side, while the opposite is adorned with the crusader cross, which Tancred adopted during the Crusades. The hard wooden handle has been covered with soft, deep brown stitched leather, accented with antique brass details. The imposing 2" wide blade has a deep fuller running the length, giving great balance to this mighty sword. Included is a period stitched scabbard in matching brown suede with long leather belt.

  • Acre Crusader Broadsword

    1 Review(s)

This medieval Acre Crusader Broadsword from Windlass Steelcrafts Battlecry collection is a formidable weapon of proven worth. This classic knightly sword was an idea for sword and shield or sword and buckler combat whether on foot or horseback. The Acre crusader sword is a stout and fearsome blade that takes advantage of its heft, width, and centre and gravity to deliver deadly slashing cuts and hacking blows as well as thrusts.

With a wide cross-guard of over 8" it's no sword for the soft hearted or weak-spirited. Its practical cruciform hilt with single-hand grip and disc pommel was to be the functional model for countless other sword styles to follow.

  • Assassins Creed Sword Of Altair

This one handed sword features a very special pommel and crossguard. The crossguard is shaped like the beak and claws of a bird of prey, and the pommel looks like a bird's head. Between them, the grip is covered with brown nubuck leather decorated with a lozenge pattern created in twisted wire. The blade with three, relatively short fullers tapers evenly to the point. Our original Assassin's Creed Altair sword has an ideal weight and balances very well for excellent manageability.

  • Stage Combat Arming Sword

Stage combat swords have to meet different requirements than battle-ready swords do. In order to minimize the risk of injury from cuts and thrusts during stage combat with swords, this one-handed stage combat sword has back edges that are at least 3.5 mm thick everywhere and it even has a rounded point.

The thick blade of our one-handed stage combat sword makes it somewhat more top-heavy than a comparable battle-ready sword would be. The grip is ridged in three places and is wrapped in genuine leather for increased control and comfort. Our one-handed stage combat sword has a riveted wheel pommel typical of swords that were made between the 10th and 15th centuries, but the curved crossguard places it firmly in the 14th/15th century. This one-handed stage combat sword includes a scabbard made of genuine leather with a mount and chape.

  • Oakeshott Sword XIV

This short sword belongs to the group of swords that Oakeshott classified as XIV type. Widespread in the Late Middle Ages, they were primarily designed to be used against opponents wearing armor. The blade is characteristically wide at the base and ends in an acute point. In conjunction with the dramatic, wheel-shaped pommel, the fuller ensures outstanding balance and a surprisingly low weight. The grip of our XIV medieval short sword is made of wood wrapped with leather. Its wheel pommel is riveted and has a cavity at the center with space for an insignia or jewel. This XIV medieval short sword comes with a scabbard.

The best metalsmiths from Windlass Steelcrafts have spent hours on each blade, hand forging the high carbon steel for optimal balance, quickness and durability. • Sword of Robin Hood

    1 Review(s)

Our original Robin Hood sword is the licensed replica from "Robin Hood," the Universal Pictures movie directed by Ridley Scott. Made of hand forged carbon steel, this licensed Robin Hood sword is just like the sword in the movie – down to the smallest detail. The unusual hilt is a very special eye-catcher. The hardwood grip is set with decorative turquoise cabochons and the steel has been treated to look old. The inscription made famous in the movie is engraved on the steel surfaces at the sides: "Rise and rise again" or "Until lambs become lions." The octagonal pommel is riveted and decorated with the cross pattée favoured by crusaders. Our original Robin Hood sword includes a decorative shield with the Loxley family coat of arms that you can hang on the wall and use to display the sword.

  • Late Medieval Arming Sword - Malta Sword

This late medieval arming sword echoes this change in standards. The long, tapered shape of the blade represents the beginnings of a larger development that would lead to pure thrusting weapons such as the rapier. Whereas the hilt figures squarely in the high medieval tradition of classical knight swords, the cross engraving on the pommel evokes a Christian worldview. The diagonal fluting of the leather wrapped around the grip keeps the sword secure in your hand. The steel cross-guard bends upward.

A sturdy brown scabbard of leather with chape and throat as well as a leather frog allow you to carry the sword with style and ease.
