The urn fields in Rhonetal, Switzerland prove that the Bronze Age Hallstatt culture was part of a trade route between Central Europe and the Mediterranean. The cultural exchange led to the development of a unique style of metalworking. At least from a design standpoint, our Bronze Age sword is a handsome replica of the swords that were excavated there. The slightly curved crossguard with a rounded notch at the center, the decorative metal grip and the pommel are all formed from one piece of solid bronze and riveted to the blade. Simple but elegant: our Bronze Age sword has a solid steel blade instead of a bronze one.
This short sword comes with an elegant, dark brown leather scabbard.
