Combining versatility with utility, the dexterity and lightness of the Agincourt betrays a dangerous fighting blade of respected martial utility. With a 1065 high carbon steel blued patina, it’s well protected from the frequent rust spots and stains that occur so often from everyday practice and exposure to the elements. Maldon Viking Sword
The Maldon Viking sword from Windlass Steelcrafts Battlecry collection is a light, agile and resilient fighting blade that captures nearly everything that made this style such a formidable and near legendary design. Created to deal with shields, mail and thick fur or leather armour, it was more than a match for any hand-weapon of its day. Its semi-rounded point was capable of forcefully biting into targets without snagging or catching while its well-honed edge, neither too wide nor too narrow, enabled the widest possible array of single-hand combination blows. Its snub-hilt with distinct lobed-pommel gave the wielder a snug grip facilitating a quick center-of-rotation easily manipulated for exceptionally versatile action. With its capacity for delivering rapid single-handed strikes, it was ideal for fighting armed with a shield but also highly effective when matched with a sax or even a hand-axe.

Bosworth Longsword
A beautifully proportioned weapon with dynamic handling qualities, it is a harmony of mass and dimension. With a long, semi-tapered diamond cross-section fitted to a round ergonomic pommel on a double-handed grip, this is a fine example of the perfection that was achieved in this popular design. Against any opposing arms or armour it was capable of quick deadly cuts as well as accurate and forceful thrusts. Aptly named for the bloody late 15th-century battle during the War of the Roses, the Bosworth is a fast and capable warsword adeptly able to execute the deadly “Mastercut” techniques so closely associated with double-handed blades of the period. With a slim handle that virtually begs to be gripped in the diverse and effective winding actions that this kind of sword ideally allowed, it features a surprisingly small heft for its size. This ebony-toned “queen of weapons” is perfectly suited to foot-combat in war, judicial duel or knightly challenge. This is a substantial and graceful weapon that will leave the wielder every confidence it could readily defend life if called upon. Discover with it just why this form of longsword was respected for centuries and celebrated against whatever it encountered.

Swept Hilt Rapier
This swept hilt rapier was quite popular in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. Our version is hand forged by the skilled artisans at Windlass Steelcrafts and has a blade of high carbon steel with a diamond cross-section. This gives the blade firmness, yet allowing it to be flexible in action. The all-steel guard and ornate pommel are accented with a real bleached, polished bone grip. Includes a full leather scabbard with steel throat and shoe.
This was one of our most popular rapiers for a number of years and was retired years ago. We are proud to bring back this elegant sword by popular demand for a limited time as one of our Windlass Classics.
NOTE: Bone is a natural product and may have slight variations from the photo shown, giving each handle a unique "one of a kind" finish.
