Windlass Steelcrafts
The Knight Shop is a distributor for Windlass Steelcrafts and the premier retailer of Windlass Swords for sale in the UK. Windlass Swords (Windlass Steelcrafts), are based in India and are one of the oldest sword manufacturers still in production. They were established in 1943 to supply kukris to the British Army. Over the decades they have expanded to become one of the largest suppliers of military swords in the world. They are also well known for making high quality licensed replicas of swords, armour and historical clothing seen in Hollywood movies.
Their swords are forged from high quality, high carbon steel and tempered with the most advanced heat treating process available. They are flexible, well balanced and lightweight making them ideal for practicing historical swordplay techniques. The axe is wrapped in leather and faux fur. The hardwood handle is replete with nordic runes: Raido (journey), Fehu (wealth), Wunjo (joy), Ehwaz (movement), Naudiz (need), Eihwaz (defense), Teiwaz (warrior), Othila (separate), and Thuisaz (giant). The high carbon steel head is forged from 1055 carbon steel and struck with additional Viking symbols and is thick enough for serious chopping and has a sharp edge.
The knife features a raven head pommel, the guard, and the pommel have a rough-forged finish that looks fresh out of the dwarves' smithy. The carbon steel blade comes sharpened and is easy to resharpen after you've used it for a while. The spine of the blade makes this knife suitable for mild chopping as well as precise cutting. This is a medium-sized knife with a generous handle. The grip is high-quality leather wrapped around a full tang and the raised laces do a superb job of providing a secure grasp in wet situations. Includes leather belt sheath.
The rustic wooden box has leather straps to secure the axe and knife for carrying.
