Tabards were worn over chainmail to protect the metal from the elements such as the blistering heat of the sun and rust inducing rain. They were also worn to display the wearer’s coat of arms or affiliations so that they could be easily identified on the battlefield and in tournaments. Our Crusader Knight’s Tabard is handcrafted from 100% cotton and is finished in heraldic blue and yellow colours adorned with Crusader crosses on the chest. It is usually worn with a belt which is not supplied – but there are plenty to choose from in our “Belts” category. Great for LARP or fancy dress!

In days of old when your garb clearly showed which class you belonged to and was very difficult to come by as well, clothing had to be handled with care. Everyone wore a chemise right next to their skin – it protected all the other garb from perspiration and had long sleeves so that elegant ladies could even use them as underdresses.

Our traditional chemise has long, graceful sleeves decorated with lace trim and equipped with drawstrings so they can be gathered to the length required. The neckline is also adjustable. Also suitable for use as a nightgown!

This belt was designed with LARP roles that have to bristle with weapons in mind. You can easily fasten two LARP swords – typically a bit bulkier than steel swords – to this double sword belt. Two sets of adjustable leather straps with metal buckles are attached to the belt, which is almost 6 cm wide. These men's drawstring pants are made of 100 percent cotton. They are the basis of all garb that does not require a skirt, hose or kilt and work perfectly with Saxon, Viking and Medieval clothing. This red tunic is based on a Roman legionary's standard issue toward the end of the Roman Empire (approx. 400 A.D.). It can be worn beneath armour and as normal outerwear as well.
