Plate armour came into popular usage during the middle of the 13th century, succeeded by full plate armour during the late 14th century. This is a reproduction of the popular Italian Gothic design of the period. This armour, acclaimed throughout Europe, offered a great deal of protection and comfort. It provided a rounded surface to deflect both lance and sword.

This armour is made of 18 gauge steel and comes complete with full skeletal body and decorative skirt. Leather straps come attached.

This medieval Crusader sword has a deep fuller on both sides of the high carbon steel blade, which has been pierced with a cross at the ricasso. Also features an engraved guard and inset coin in the pommel. It comes with a matching leather scabbard and belt.

This swept hilt rapier was quite popular in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. Our version is hand forged by the skilled artisans at Windlass Steelcrafts and has a blade of high carbon steel with a diamond cross-section. This gives the blade firmness, yet allowing it to be flexible in action. The all-steel guard and ornate pommel are accented with a real bleached, polished bone grip. Includes a full leather scabbard with steel throat and shoe.

This was one of our most popular rapiers for a number of years and was retired years ago. We are proud to bring back this elegant sword by popular demand for a limited time as one of our Windlass Classics.

The Imperial city of Augsburg was renowned for armour makers, which included the Helmschmied family and master armourer Lorenz. This suit is reminiscent of a 16th-century design, which would have been in the style manufactured by that illustrious foundry. Though this suit is not made to be worn, it still maintains all the aesthetic beauty of a full harness of armour.

Perfect for re-enactors or stage performers who need authentic looks but don't need authentic weight! This extremely light mail utilizes aluminium rings which have been riveted for durability. Even if you wear it all day long you'll hardly notice the weight.

Faithfully copied from examples in museums and private collections, the diameter of each outer link is about 1/2”. Mail shirts fit up to a 54” chest with a 33” long shirt; the sleeves are approximately 18” and hang to just below the elbows on average height warriors. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.

Our Munich Town Watch Rapier has a relatively wide blade, which makes it ideal for both functions. It is a replica of a rapier type found in many museums today: in the Munich Armory, the Bavarian Army Museum in Ingolstadt, Germany or catalogue number A612 in the Wallace Collection, for example.

Made around 1600, this rapier has a strong, tapering blade hand forged from carbon steel with a narrow ricasso inside the finger ring. Its elegant complex basket has side guard rings and a knuckle bow. The hardwood grip is elaborately wrapped with iron wire with braided wire at the ends. A riveted pommel shaped like a flattened ball completes the hilt.

A beautifully executed 17th Century rapier with a very complex hilt and faceted pommel. The grip is hand-wound with silver plated wire with woven wire rings, top and bottom. The hand-forged, high carbon steel, fully tempered blade features a wide fuller to lighten and strengthen it for thrusting and the heavy ricasso provides extra strength to the main stress area. The blade features a fine point, so it excels at thrusting.

The top-quality, genuine leather scabbard features deeply engraved floral patterns on the throat and tip. This type of sword was deadly effective as a duelling weapon. No other sword in the annals of literature has been more renowned than the legendary Excalibur. This magical blade sealed young Arthur Pendragon’s lineage to the throne of England. This version is designed from the stories of Camelot, from the time of author Sir Thomas Malory.

The blade is high-carbon steel, made by the master smiths of Windlass Steelcrafts. The metal fittings have an antique finish and emulate the flowers of a new spring. The two-handed grip, as well as the wooden scabbard, has been covered in rich, soft blue leather. The scabbard also is adorned with antique flower-like metal fittings.
