People wore jerkins like this one during the Late Middle Ages. This jerkin not only serves as padding to be worn underneath armor, it also makes a handsome outer tunic when worn over a shirt or tunic and breeches.

This sleeveless version in classic black is made of 100% cotton ribbed velveteen. It is completely padded to make it especially comfortable to wear. The row of functioning buttons goes from the base of the collar to the hips and fastens this black jerkin securely. In combination with its skirt, this form-fitting, elegant garment is cut to emphasize broad, masculine shoulders and dashing sleeves.

  • Knights Templar Surcoat

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory." Psalm 115 was the motto of the Templar Knights, an order that was established in the wake of the first Crusade. Combining the ideals of noble knights and religious monks was as much of a historical innovation as the Crusades themselves were. The battling Christians were highly visible on account of their white surcoats, which had contrasting red crosses pattee over their hearts.

Our reproduction is historically accurate. The single red cross pattee really stands out on the background of sturdy, white 100 percent cotton. This sleeveless surcoat has slits below the hips and includes a braided belt of brown wool (not shown).

Surcoat only. Does not include other accessories shown.

  • Templar Belt - Red

Due to its extreme length, this medieval leather belt is a historically accurate complement to most tunics, long shirts, and surcoats. It can even be combined with a sword frog.

Our red belt with Maltese cross ornamentation has a total length of approx. 178 cm. Its unusually long length can be explained by the way they used to fasten their belts in the Middle Ages. After buckling the belt at the front, as a rule, a loop was firmly knotted around the buckle. The resulting belt end would be left to hang down the centre.

This belt is made of genuine, red leather, is five centimetres wide, and is decorated with Maltese crosses made of brass.

    Length: 178cm
    Width: 5cm

  • Knightly Belt - Black

This brown long belt with brass plates is a practical, decorative addition to garb representing the medieval era.

  • Rapier Belt & Frog (Holder) - Left Hip

This leather belt with an elaborate frog provides the perfect means of carrying edged weapons – for right-handers. With its nine straps, the elaborately designed belt and frog have enough room for scabbards with maximum widths of approx. 5cm. Because each of its straps can be adjusted individually, the frog also holds slim edged weapons such as rapiers. The belt can be adjusted to fit a right-handed warrior individually, which makes it a universal leather belt with an elaborate frog.
