  • US Navy Cutlass M1860 - Gold

Since 1860, the US Navy Cutlass M1860 Gold has been produced for the American armed forces at sea – just in time for the American Civil War! It replaces model M1841, and was inspired by the French Navy saber. The curved blade typical of sabers has a wide fuller that ends at the same place the broad back does – the spot where the false edge starts.

Its blade geometry gives the US Navy Cutlass M1860 Gold a relatively light weight, but it was also made to be slightly top-heavy to give cuts more power. Held in place by a riveted pommel and the 24 K gold-plated full knuckle bow at the hand guard, the wooden grip of this naval cutlass is covered in leather and wrapped with twisted, golden wire. The US Navy Cutlass M1860 Gold comes with a matching leather scabbard with belt loop and a cloth bag for transport and storage.

  • Sword of Robin Hood

    1 Review(s)

Our original Robin Hood sword is the licensed replica from "Robin Hood," the Universal Pictures movie directed by Ridley Scott. Made of hand forged carbon steel, this licensed Robin Hood sword is just like the sword in the movie – down to the smallest detail.

The unusual hilt is a very special eye-catcher. The hardwood grip is set with decorative turquoise cabochons and the steel has been treated to look old. The inscription made famous in the movie is engraved on the steel surfaces at the sides: "Rise and rise again" or "Until lambs become lions." The octagonal pommel is riveted and decorated with the cross pattée favoured by crusaders. Our original Robin Hood sword includes a decorative shield with the Loxley family coat of arms that you can hang on the wall and use to display the sword.

  • Italian Bastard Sword

    1 Review(s)

This sword is a prime example of a classic bastard sword. The grip wrapped with genuine leather and the bottle-stopper-shaped pommel both make it easy to wield this blackened hand-and-a-half sword with two hands. However, it is so light that it can also be used with one hand.

The double-edged blade of this blackened hand and a half sword tapers gently to the point, which is slightly rounded. The crossguard is straight until the ends, which suddenly curve. The scabbard that comes with this sword is made of genuine leather. Both the mount and chape are made of blackened steel.

  • Pirate Cutlass

The Cutlass, also known as a ‘hanger’, ‘cuttoe’ or ‘short saber’, was the weapon of choice for a 16th and 17th Century pirate. The word Cutlass comes from the French word “couelace” or the Italian for “coltellaccio”, both meaning ‘large knife’.

The weapon was designed as a single-edged blade with a steel basket for protection and ease in combat within the proximity of a pirate ship's close quarters. The sweeping, open design of this cutlass is both threatening and practical, with the basket being used to punch their enemies with an iron fist. Our cutlass consists of a steel riveted pommel and black, leather-covered wooden handle and includes a leather scabbard to protect the blade in transit.

  • The Eagle - Eagle Head Gladius

This official gladius is a detail-rich replica of the eagle sword from the movie. Of tempered carbon steel, the blade tapers from the cross guard into a kind of waistline, widening again before the point. This style of blade was named after Mainz, Germany, its place of discovery, and is the highest quality variant of the Roman gladius. The leaf-shaped Mainz blade was sturdier, heaver and better balanced than the Pompeii and Hispanicum styles. Officers in particular were equipped with this kind of gladius.

You can tell from the elaborate decoration of this gladius that this isn't a mere legionary sword. The finely crafted grip with decorative patterns ends seamlessly in the sculptural eagle head – by far the most distinctive feature on this exceptional sword. Covered with dark leather, the wooden scabbard boasts richly decorated metal plates. The relief on the chape shows a ruler surrounded by soldiers, and depicted on the throat is a legionary standing in front of a Roman temple. On the central plates there are classical Roman laurel vines completed by a laurel wreath insignia in the middle of the scabbard. A leather shoulder strap is attached with metal rings to the scabbard. All metal parts have been artificially antiqued to give the Eagle Head Gladius an especially battle-tested look.

  • Sword of Baldur

In the pantheon of Norse deities, Baldur was the son of Odin and Frigg (thus a sibling to Thor and Loki) and as such, was destined to reign after Odin. Baldur is known as a figure who bestows joy to all those who share his company. Old Norse poetry relates the death of Baldur as a tragedy and a harbinger of Ragnarok.

In honor of lesser-known siblings everywhere, we've designed this classic Viking sword as a tribute to the fairest member of Asgard. The leather grip of this sword is laser engraved with the three runes that we feel most befit the Norse God. Some scholars believe the name Baldur translates to "bold" so the rune of courage has been added. In her attempt to save Baldur from harm, Frigg asked all things to swear never to harm him (except mistletoe) so the rune of protection has also been included. Finally, Baldur was also known to always be prepared for battle, so the rune of strength completes the array.

The blade is etched with runes that roughly can be translated as the spelling of "Baldur". The leather sheath (with integral belt) is covered with a layer of black suede that is adorned with top grain lace, throat, and chape. The throat and chape bear a Viking symbol for the sun, as Baldur was known as a shining light to all who knew him.

  • Landsknecht Katzbalger Sword

The flamboyantly dressed German Landsknecht mercenary lived a harsh, brutal life and was famous for their giant, two-hand Flamberge sword. After using the Flamberge to break an enemy's row of front-line pikemen, a smaller, one-hand sword was employed for the ensuing close-quarters combat - the Katzbalger.

Carried by all Landsknecht troops, including the pikemen and arquebusiers, this sword had an ornate "closed s" shaped guard and an extra long, fluted pommel. The Katzbalger was most assuredly respectful of its Renaissance roots.

Our replica is just as battle ready as the originals. The beautifully rendered grip would do any Landskecht proud. The fluting in the pommel extends seamlessly into the wood grip, and the guard is expertly spiral-twisted and terminates in half-spheres. The tempered, high-carbon steel blade is adorned with a trio of fullers that slightly lighten the blade.

The black leather scabbard is mildly decorated with leather bands that criss-cross and are knotted near the throat and has a unique steel tip.
