Club Sport Federschwert
The Kingston Arms Sport Feder is ideal for clubs, beginners and even seasoned practitioners that want a light, fast, safe and affordable sparring sword for HEMA longsword sparring. This federschwert was designed to be safe in the thrust by flexing in the last third of the blade while keeping the rest of the sword stiff in the bind. The tip is slightly flared in thickness as well and can be used as it is with proper equipment or fitted with a leather mask or plastic tip for an added degree of safety.

Other features include a ramped thumb guard, allowing easy placement of a gloved thumb onto and off the blade during guard transitions. The pommel is indexed to the flat of the blade, making it second nature to distinguish proper edge alignment with the rearward hand. The wood core grip is in a well rounded rectangular cross section and tightly bound with an overwrap of cord to provide a firm grip.

Kingston Arms Federschwert
Based on a period original fencing sword now located in Switzerland, the Kingston Arms Federschwert is a well updated version of the feder originally offered by Hanwei in 2010. This sword now features a much more robust blade from tang to tip as well as a tougher cord wrapped grip. In our testing, it holds up well to paired drilling as well as more spirited free play sessions. Re-developed in conjunction with several HEMA groups around the US this updated Federschwert provides an affordable and reliable training sword for longsword fencing practice.

Stage Combat Rapier
Stage combat rapiers have to meet different requirements from battle-ready rapiers. In order to minimize the risk of injury from cuts and thrusts during stage combat with fencing weapons, this silver stage combat rapier has back edges that are at least 3 mm thick everywhere and it even has a flattened point. It weighs a little less than a kilogram, so our silver stage combat rapier is light and highly manageable. Good balance is not the only characteristic that makes this stage combat rapier manageable – its grip is also very important. Because it is wrapped with both smooth and braided silver-coloured wire, it is especially comfortable to grasp. The delicate knuckle bow and finger guard give this stage combat rapier a graceful, romantic look and also provide finger protection when a technique requires them to be placed above the crossguard. It includes a leather scabbard with a silver-coloured mount and chape.

Munich Town Watch Rapier
Our Munich Town Watch Rapier has a relatively wide blade, which makes it ideal for both functions. It is a replica of a rapier type found in many museums today: in the Munich Armory, the Bavarian Army Museum in Ingolstadt, Germany or catalogue number A612 in the Wallace Collection, for example. Made around 1600, this rapier has a strong, tapering blade hand forged from carbon steel with a narrow ricasso inside the finger ring. Its elegant complex basket has side guard rings and a knuckle bow. The hardwood grip is elaborately wrapped with iron wire with braided wire at the ends. A riveted pommel shaped like a flattened ball completes the hilt. This Munich Town Watch Rapier includes a black leather scabbard with a mount and chape.

Deschaux Rapier
A weapon unequalled in elegance and grace: the classic French rapier. The slender, double-edged blade determines the character of this classic rapier, whose ricasso elegantly becomes narrower inside the basket. But the complex basket with its sweeping finger guard is not the only special feature this classic rapier has to offer: the grip is bordered by braided steel wire on both sides. The grip itself is made of horn wrapped with golden wire for a stunning effect. When used with a French parrying dagger, this classic rapier forms part of a deadly set that was especially appreciated by duellists. Our classic French rapier comes with its own scabbard.

Practical Cup Hilt Rapier
Fencing in the Renaissance style plays a prominent part in historical re-enactment, combining the quickness of light blades with the structure and spirit of the duel. Designed for the rapier fencer with a preference for the cup-hilt style who wishes to spar in safety, This Paul Chen Practical Cup-Hilt Rapier from Hanwei fits the bill perfectly. The rapier blade is similar in design to the practical blades for the swept-hilts but the length of the tang is adapted to the cup-hilt. The Hanwei SH2262 Main Gauche matches this rapier.

Practical Rapier - 43" Blade
The Schlaeger Rapiers utilize a popular swept hilt, modified to accommodate Hanwei's schlaeger blades in 37" (SH1099) and 43" (SH1098) lengths. These tapered blades provide a superior balance compared to the traditional parallel-sided schlaegers, making for a faster sword.

Paul Chen's Renaissance-style Rapiers trace their origins to early 17th century Europe, where swordplay with the Rapier was considered an essential part of a gentleman’s education and was often used in resolving gentlemanly disagreements. Blades generally originated in one of the blade making centers such as Toledo or Solingen, but many differences in styling and hilt materials resulted from the local manufacture of hilts all over Europe.

The Christus Imperat Rapier
A rapier of this identical form and proportions is currently housed in The Royal Armouries (formerly the Tower of London). The flamboyantly formed hilt is both beautiful and functional. Its’ forward plates are pierced and show lavish birds among foliage, while the bars of the guard are slender both defending the hand and having an upward loop to catch an opponent’s blade. The heavy pommel allows for a more balanced feel for fighting. The blade is etched on both sides of the ricasso with the Latin phrase CHRISTUS IMPERAT which means “Christ Commands.”
