  • Crusader Great Helm - 16 gauge - Brass

The Great Helm, which began to be seen on the battlefield as early as the 13th century on its earliest forms proved to be a winning design to be used almost for the next three centuries. This style of helmet was usually seen in the middle 13th century until the beginning of 14th century and can be seen in documents such as the Codex Manesse, the Maziejowsky Bible or the Cantigas.

Our Crusader Great Helm is constructed from 16 gauge steel making it perfect for re-enactment. It features a padded liner and adjustable leather chin strap.
