Crusader Knight Spurs
Our Crusader Knight Spurs are based on 12th Century Prick Spurs used by Crusading Knights. Spurs were associated with the passage of Knighthood where a Squire would be required to "Earn his Spurs". They are hand forged from steel and feature adjustable buckled leather straps.

Poleyns (Knee Armour) - 16 gauge
Over a relatively short period of time, different forms of rigid plate protection for use with chainmail appeared. Towards the end of the 13th C. a variety of illuminations, funerary sculptures and others sources were produced that showed the use of elbow and knee protection to reinforce a knight's weak points.

Archer’s Knee Armour - 16 gauge
We have called this “Archer’s Knee Armour” even though it was widely used among many different types of warrior in the medieval period. This name comes from several pictorial representations from the 15th century where archers appear wearing this armour. Our Archer’s Knee Armour is crafted from a mixture of steel thicknesses making it light but durable. Re-enactors should check with their safety officer before purchase.

Avant Milanese Cuisses (Leg Armour) - 16 gauge
Our Avant Milanese Cuisses are modelled on those displayed on the famous Avant Armour on display in the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow. This armour was made in Milan in around 1440 for a member of the Matchs family of Churburg Castle.
