  • Spartacus Crixus Leather Belt

At the centre of the hit TV series, "Spartacus: Blood and Sand," is the historical portrayal of the legendary slave revolt in the Roman Republic. Alongside the protagonist, the Gallic gladiator, Crixus, plays a prominent role – he was, after all, the best gladiator far and wide before Spartacus showed up on the scene.

And the ambitious Gallic fighter's past glory lives on in this exact replica of the original TV costume! The Crixus leather belt is made of thick, sturdy leather in brown, and the surface pattern gives it an antique look. The wide cut is most impressive on the front at 19 cm – here a striking metal appliqué figures prominently in the centre, an ornamental horse in aged bronze. At 20 cm long and 13 cm tall, this elaborately crafted decorative element is a true eye-catcher. Criss cross lacing with leather straps embellishes the entire edge of the belt, bringing this authentic replica of the TV costume together. Three adjustable buckles and straps at the back guarantee an individual fit.

The layers of natural leather are reinforced with decorative aluminium fittings. Typically these belts were worn beneath breastplates and this one is particularly suited to our Greek muscle armour sets.

It is designed to fit over armour and fits waist sizes from 45 to 50”.

  • Roman Legionary Balteus Belt

This type of Roman Legionary leather belt (balteus) is characteristic of the cingulum militare worn by many soldiers in the Roman legions. The five strips of leather that hang from the centre to form a protective "skirt" make this Roman belt similar to ones that many legionaries are pictured wearing.

The Roman Legionary belt is made of genuine, 3mm thick leather. Each of the five strips has decorative brass plates riveted onto it, and round steel coins hang on bronze rings from the ends.

  • Roman Baldric

This Roman baldric is made of genuine leather and is the ancient version of a sword belt. The leather strap is worn across one shoulder splits at both ends into two straps of different lengths. The three straps form loops around the metal rings used to attach the scabbard of a Roman gladius, for example (gladius sold separately). With this mechanism, a legionary can carry his sword at his side and always have it at hand. The loops of this Roman baldric are fastened with handy Chicago screws. The strap is also adjustable in length.

    Tunic and Gladius not included.
