Our torque is a high-quality replica of the original. It is handcrafted from brass and then gold plated. Please note that there are sometimes very minor discrepancies in the gold plating if you look hard enough - but nothing that affects the overall splendour of this item.

Pair of Viking Tortoise Brooches
Based on a find from Lisbjerg, Denmark, they sport a very cheerful looking gripping beast design. They are lighter than our previous version with a new mould being produced to replicate the traditional construction method. As a result, the back of the brooch is patterned with weave from the cloth used when making the mould - just like the originals.
The brooches are cast in lead-free pewter in Scotland and hand assembled by the Asgard crew.Brooch Width: 5.1cm
