Rondel Dagger
Introduced in response to many requests, Hanwei's Rondel Dagger is typical of the widely-used sidearm of the late middle ages. Carried by a wide section of the populace, from tradesmen to fully-armoured knights, the Rondel enjoyed a long service life. Our version is both attractive and functional. The stiff T-section blade is edged and crafted in 5160 high-carbon steel, with a hardwood handle. All fittings, including the octagonal guard and pommel, are in steel and the leather-covered wooden sheath complements the dagger perfectly. The Rondel will appeal to collectors and re-enactment participants alike.

Saxon Scramasax
The Scramasax, carried by the Saxons and Vikings between the 4th and 10th centuries, was utilised as both a tool and a weapon. Carried horizontally at the back of the belt, the Scramasax provided the spearman with a close-quarters weapon when needed, and its broad blade could handle many day-to-day chores. The ancestry of the Scramasax, which evolved from similar weapons in bronze (and later iron) used by the Celts, is portrayed in the decoration of the guard and pommel.

Hutton Sabre
One of the rapidly growing arts within historical fencing societies is that of sabre fencing in the late 19th century Italian style, originating with fencing masters who were employed to train mounted troops in the effective use of the military sabre. The Milanese fencing master Guiseppe Radaelli, is credited with starting the development of this style, while Salvatore Pecoraro introduced changes and refinements which resulted in the technique finally adopted for sabre at the Military Masters School in Rome. The hilt designs developed by Radaelli and Pecoraro have been reproduced in our fencing sabers, with stainless steel guards and wire-wrapped sharkskin-pattern grips. The high-carbon flex-tempered steel blades By Hanwei closely follow the proportions of the period and are round-tipped for safety. The blade and hilt of the “Hutton” sabre are closer to the style of the true military sabre.
