  • Rondel Dagger

Introduced in response to many requests, Hanwei's  Rondel Dagger is typical of the widely-used sidearm of the late middle ages. All fittings, including the octagonal guard and pommel, are in steel and the leather-covered wooden sheath complements the dagger perfectly. The Rondel will appeal to collectors and re-enactment participants alike.

  • 1849 Rifleman's Knife

This rare blade was originally issued in extremely limited numbers and has the distinction of being the first knife officially designed for, and purchased by, the U.S. Army back in 1849. The blade takes inspiration from an antique in the private collection of our company President Lynn C Thompson, and while the blade is not an exact replica, it features many of the design nuances that make this knife such a classic! It’s big, stout spear point blade is stiff enough to oppose even much larger weapons, making it an ideal complimentary knife to carry and use alongside a saber or cutlass. Plus, it's 12” blade and solid guard make a more than capable stand-alone blade in its own right! It’s easy to see why it was chosen as a back-up blade for riflemen. The 1849 Rifleman’s Knife is hand-forged from 1085 High Carbon steel, with a solid brass guard and beautiful Rosewood handle scales that encapsulate the sturdy full tang. The Rifleman’s Knife is sold complete with a high-quality hand-stitched leather sheath and belt frog, with polished brass throat and chape.

  • Shamshir Sword

The Shamshir originated in Persia and spread throughout the former Ottoman Empire and beyond into India and even the Philippines. Its strongly curved blade was enduringly popular and absolutely ideal for delivering a devastating cutting stroke. And, contrary to popular belief, it was very effective at delivering rising, descending, and hooking style thrusts! Typically, the curved Shamshir blade had a narrow cross-section and a sharp point. It had a simple brass or steel crossbar hilt and an equally straightforward handle made from wood or animal horn that terminated in a distinctively bulbous pommel. This pommel was offset slightly to help the hand resist centrifugal force when making a hard cutting stroke. This historic saber replicates the original as closely as possible. The only modifications were to substitute modern high carbon steel for the blade and to use black faux buffalo horn for the handle. Even the scabbard is a close copy of the original. It’s made of thick, black leather (so it won’t dull the blade) and reinforced by a brass throat and chape, and comes complete with dual suspension rings.

    Overall length: 92 cm
    Blade length: 77.5 cm
    Blade Thickness: 4.7 mm
    Weight: 850g
    Edge: Sharp
