  • Civil War D-Guard Bowie Knife

    1 Review(s)

Most Bowie knife blades are shaped differently than this one – it actually has more in common with a cavalry sabre or a machete. But the term "Bowie knife" has become almost generic for longer, fixed knives, and knives like this South Civil War Bowie knife with knuckle bow were used from the earliest days of the War between the States. Our Bowie knife with a knuckle bow has a hand forged, single-edged carbon steel blade with a long ridge and a false edge that takes up between one-third and one-half of the blade. This knife has a full tang that is riveted securely to the knuckle bow. The grip is made of hardwood. This South Civil War Bowie knife with knuckle bow comes with a leather scabbard with a mount and chape.

    Total length: 57 cm
    Blade length: 45 cm
    Grip length: 10.5 cm

    Blade thickness (base): 4.6 mm
    Blade width (base): 4.0 cm

  • Primitive Bowie Knife

Between 1835 and 1836, Texans fought for their independence from Mexico. The most famous battle of the war centred around The Alamo, which was a missionary station that had been turned into a fort.

This knife is the exciting replica of a Bowie knife exhibited in the Alamo museum. Its blade has a number of unusual features: it curves to an extreme point and a plate of shining brass encases the back. In matching brass, the ends of the crossguard curve gracefully in opposite directions. The genuine wooden grip is straight at the side of the back but on the side of the sharp edge, it is slightly wavy for an improved grip. Our Alamo Bowie knife comes with a matching sheath in brown leather.

    Total length: 47 cm
    Blade length: 77 cm
    Grip length: 13 cm
    Weight: 0.53 kg
    Blade thickness (base): 4.7 mm

The handle made of ebony plates is shaped to allow a good grip and fits very well in everyone's hand. Our English Bowie knife comes with a leather sheath and a separate leather loop. • Elegant Bowie Knife

A series of decorative Bowie knives were produced in New Orleans in the second half of the 19th century, and this elegant Bowie knife is a very good example of one. When it comes to size this model is average, but if you want an attractive looking Bowie knife this is the one for you. Above all, the intricately turned crossguard and the elegant curl of the pommel make this Bowie knife truly exceptional. The slightly convex grip made of polished hardwood is so comfortable that you won't want to let this elegant Bowie knife go once you've held it in your hand. The upper third of the single-edged, very stable blade has a false edge and an approx. 2 cm long ricasso below the crossguard. Our elegant Bowie knife comes with a leather sheath.

    Total length: 40.5 cm
    Blade length: 27 cm
    Grip length: 10 cm

  • Great Western Bowie Knife

The "Bowie knife" dates back to the legendary Sandbar Fight in 1827 when James "Jim" Bowie used the knife that would later be named after him. It is still unclear whether his brother, Rezin Pleasant Bowie or a blacksmith named Jesse Clift who worked for him designed the model.

But such information is trivial compared to the excellence of our Great Western Bowie Knife, and that goes for its craftsmanship, too. The upper third of the blade features the characteristic curve. Here there is also a false edge. The non-sharp section about as wide as your thumb at the base lends the blade additional stability. With its ball-shaped ends, the handguard of brass prevents your hand from sliding while thrusting. The slightly tapered, stained wooden handle has 16 brass rivets, and thanks to its precise weight distribution it feels great in your hand. A matching brown sheath of genuine leather comes with the knife - its visual highlight is the coarse, light seam.

    Total length: 39 cm
    Blade length: 25 cm
    Grip length: 9.5 cm
    Weight: 0.4 kg
    Blade thickness (base): 4.1 mm
    Blade width (base): 3.8 cm

    Scabbard: Leather

  • Arkansas Toothpick Bowie Knife

The Arkansas Toothpick is a famous knife that was widely used in North America during the 19th century. This impressive knife was allegedly invented by knife maker James Black, the man who made the first Bowie knife. The two knives have lent their names to the state of Arkansas, which is known as "The Toothpick State" and "The Bowie State."

Both knives have stately dimensions, but that is about all they have in common. The blade of the Arkansas Toothpick is symmetric and kept very simple. Due to the length of the blade, this edged weapon is ideal for wilderness survival. The crossguard and riveted pommel are made of brass, while the comfortable, coffin-shaped handle is made of wood. Our Arkansas Toothpick comes with a leather sheath with a brass chape.

    Total length: 38.3 cm
    Blade length: 35.4 cm
    Grip length: 11.3 cm
    Weight: 0.47 kg
    Blade thickness (base): 4.2 mm

  • Cowboy Boot Knife

Often glorified in movies and books, the life of the cowboy involves a lot of hardship – and more than enough hard work. In addition to the already countless health hazards that presented themselves throughout the work day, 19th-century cowboys had to deal with threats from Indians and rustlers. Many carried boot knives in their tall cowboy boots both to lower their risk of injury while dealing with their horses and generally to be able to move more freely. Such knives allowed them to take care of their incidental workload.

Our Cowboy Boot Knife is a high-quality replica of the American boot knife. Its narrow shape and handy size of 25cm makes it ideal for stowing in a pair of work boots. The curved blade of carbon steel has a false edge on top that takes up about a third of the total blade length. Made of hardwood, the polished grip is riveted to the full tang and separated from the blade by a wide handguard

A sheath of leather is included upon delivery and is reinforced with metal on both sides.

    Total length: 25 cm
    Blade length: 13.8 cm
    Grip length: 10.2 cm
    Weight: 125 g
    Blade thickness (base): 4 mm
    Blade width (base): 2.3 cm
    Edge: Sharp
    Scabbard: Leather
