British Heavy Cavalry Sword - 1796 Pattern

I’m really impressed with the quality and standard of this sword. It’s well put together and arrived in immaculate condition. Edge is totally blunt as supplied and there is a lot of oil and grease to preserve it in transit. It’s a weighty item but surprisingly agile when held correctly, but needs a degree of strength in the forearm ! A nice piece for anyone interested in the period and a good pair for the 1796 light cavalry sabre. (Posted on 12/01/2023)
