Details
A light fencing jacket based on the popular "AP" 350N model. Besides the features like an overlap in the front, blade catcher, or amortisation layer, the "AP Light" is characterised by its low weight, breathable construction, adjustable waist, and extra pockets with foam. This jacket is thinner than the regular "AP" but still made from 350N puncture resistance fabric. The lining allows heat and moisture wicking and provides antibacterial protection.
On the sleeves, you can find grips for additional elbow protectors. Due to extra pockets for foam, the amortisation level of ribs, shoulders and front can be modified. This feature allows using this jacket in light historical fencing training, as well as in tournament duels.

Great quality jacket, along the same lines as the classic AP fencing jacket. Improved weight as you would expect from a jacket marked "light", but in addition versatility has also been increased by putting impact padding into internal pockets. This means you can now remove pads if not required, or add additional sheet protection for heavier sparring as and when. Have been looking at getting some Poron sheets cut to suit. Has standard elbow loops for hard elbow protectors too. Has been used for reasonably heavy club longsword sparring with steel feders, and stood up well. Only thing I would change is the size of the zip, its a bit fiddly to locate zip tang into the end of the zip sometimes, a bigger tag would help, so may look at modding this myself.
