Description
Details
This type of bevor could be seen by end of the 15th century. It was the logical evolution in armour development. From the bascinet with aventail and visor to the combination of sallet with bevor, there is an obvious but gradual improvement. In this combination, the armour is rigid yet articulated at the neck providing great protection and efficiency. It is made in the style of central Europe circa 1480 to 1500. It is constructed from 16 gauge steel and is perfect for re-enactment.
Steel thickness may vary due to the handcrafted methods used in its manufacture.

The articulated plates on the bevor click nice and firmly into position, and I've so far not had any problems with them. If you want to wear a kettle helm/cabasset with this bevor try to get one with a steep angle on the brim so as to not leave gaps between the bevor and the helmet. Also beware of loud clang sounds as the bevor and helmet hit each other while you're fighting. It doesn't hurt my ears at all but it can get annoying. I mostly wear this bevor with the visor plate down if I'm fighting.
Overall I quite like this bevor. If you have a some padding it's a comfortable fit and looks pretty cool with a helmet. I wear this bevor with SKU: MH-H0925M and it works well. (Posted on 01/02/2019) - Pretty damn goodReview by Axel
