Our original Robin Hood sword is the licensed replica from "Robin Hood," the Universal Pictures movie directed by Ridley Scott. Made of hand forged carbon steel, this licensed Robin Hood sword is just like the sword in the movie – down to the smallest detail. The unusual hilt is a very special eye-catcher. The hardwood grip is set with decorative turquoise cabochons and the steel has been treated to look old. The inscription made famous in the movie is engraved on the steel surfaces at the sides: "Rise and rise again" or "Until lambs become lions." The octagonal pommel is riveted and decorated with the cross pattée favoured by crusaders. Our original Robin Hood sword includes a decorative shield with the Loxley family coat of arms that you can hang on the wall and use to display the sword.

Robin Hood (Robyn Hode in earlier manuscripts) was a heroic outlaw from English folklore. He is traditionally associated with "robbing from the rich to give to the poor" and was both an excellent archer and swordsman. There are many legends surrounding him, the most popular of which sees him fighting the Sheriff of Nottingham and evil Prince John whilst King Richard was away fighting in the Crusades.

Our Robin Hood Sword is constructed in the world famous Art Gladius sword factory in Toledo, Spain. Toledo has a reputation for producing some of the finest swords in Europe and has been the centre of sword production for centuries. It is styled on the “Locksley Sword” from the movie Robin Hood – Prince of Thieves. The cross shaped pommel is featured on the matching “Robin Hood Dagger” which can also be found on our site. The Clan Macleod Family Sword was wielded by the immortal Connor Macleod in the cult 80’s movie Highlander. He used it from the time of his first battle with the Kurgan and Clan Fraser in 1536 up until the death of his wife in 1590 where it was used as a grave marker. He returns in 1995 to retrieve the sword after his katana is broken by the immortal Kane. The sword is still in place although worn by the ravages of time.
