These latest additions to the Red Dragon Combat Range feature 3mm re-enactment safe edges and rounded tips. The blades are formed from tempered high-carbon steel and fullered to ensure they are swift in the hand. Indeed a lot of time and effort has gone into make these blades as agile as possible whilst retaining a re-enactment safe edge. The steel hilt fittings neatly sandwich the leather wrapped wooden grip and are held in place by a traditional peened tang. The leather wrapped wooden scabbard features a protective rain guard and metal chape. If you are part of a re-enactment group we recommend consulting your safety officer for guidance before purchase.

- Great sword for the price but has minor issues Review by Lincoln Jay

But I have some tiny issues with the sword. First of all rhe scabbard chape is to close to the blade which means it flattens when the sword is inserted and it means the sword does not go all the way.
Secondly the sword is too loose in the scabbard which means it can easily Bob up and down when running.
Thirdly the sword rattles in the scabbard which means that it is not tight enough down the length of the scabbard. This is similar to the second point.
And fourthly the fuller goes all the way to the tang which means there is a gap in between the sword and the guard. This may allow water/moisture to enter the hilt and damage the handle.
These can be fixed easily with some DIY.
But most off all this is a really good sword. I would definitely recommend ???? (Posted on 28/12/2022) - A very good budget offeringReview by Dan

The two notes I do have are the black leather (dark brown is acceptable for all reenactment groups- a much better standard offering) and the extreme taper on the blade- it does give a very (VERY!) agile and well balanced sword, but might put some purists off as well as some reenactment groups who need to abide by tip rules. A quick redesign with a 2p style point would make the blade slightly weightier but much more accurate- and frankly the best budget sword in the UK right now. (Posted on 23/10/2022)
