This sword is a near perfect replica of one from the National Museum in Copenhagen. This style of hilt type was most commonly produced Norway so it is likely this sword is of Norwegian origin. The pommel and guard are somewhat massive compared to many other Nordic swords, but are far from being too heavy and give the sword a very solid and well-balanced feel in the hand. The well-tempered blade is deeply fullered and has a good spring. The Norwegian Viking Sword has a high carbon steel blade and is one of the best available to buy in the UK. Our Norwegian Viking sword comes complete with a leather scabbard featuring decorative leather applications.
