English Civil War Cabasset/Morion - 14 gauge

The Cabasset/Morion was a foot-soldier’s helmet from the 16^th and 17^th centuries that was popular throughout Europe, especially with pikemen. It was cheap to produce and was issued to soldiers on both sides of the English Civil War. This style of helmet was also popular with officers in the 16^th century, who wore more richly decorated and embellished versions. Cabassets/Morions were worn by Conquistadors in South America during the 16^th century and the settlers in North America a century later.
