The design of this HEMA clothing is inspired by the 19th century jacket of light cavalry - hussars.
Attila 350N jacket is designed for everyone interested in HEMA techniques. It will work well in both light and medium training. It is especially recommended for amateurs of military sabers, but also longswords, rapiers etc. Together with Cavalry Pants they will be an ideal set for retro exercises.
It is slightly longer than standard SPES jackets. It has a double-closure (zipper + buttons), adjustable waist and a bladecatcher. What is more, Attila 350N has a special decorative hem on the chest and sleeves, so-called braid. In default, Attila 350N is a dark blue jacket with a golden braid. It has 5 buttons, and the decorations on sleeves which are a simplified form of the cavalry decorations.
The jacket is made from 350N puncture resistance fabric. It is long, covers the lower abdomen and hips. In addition to the standard zipper, this HEMA equipment is also fastened with Canadian buttons, which minimizes the possibility of zipper damage. There are mountings on the elbows, making it easier to increase the level of cushioning with Shell or PRO overlays.
Inside, on the chest, there are pockets with foams, and the lining is made of 3D mesh.
The weight of this HEMA jacket allows full mobility and comfort of use. The strap on the back allows you to adjust it to individual needs.
- together with Cavalry Trousers they will be perfect set for light HEMA training
- elbow overlays are NOT included

Value Quality Price
I was initially disappointed by the colour, as it is not quite as bright as on the images but this doesn't really matter. Performance wise the jacket is great, tremendously mobile an very breathable, I have had very little overheating issues.
It it quite lightly padded, with only foam plating on the chest and upper arms, so thrusts and blows to the chest are felt, and hits to the arm without any other protection can be quite stern, so I would recommend getting additional vambraces and elbow protectors for heavy sparring. Despite the light padding the durability has held up quite well from a year and a half of pretty regular use - there is no notable damage or wearing asides from some of the decorative gold fraying a little, but that doesn't have any structural issues. The second button from the top does come undone on its own with rigorous usage but again, very minor gripe
Overall I am very happy with the Attila jacket as a stand-out piece of kit, it looks fantastic, is fantastically mobile and has stood up quite well over time. My only complaint would be the price, as I thought £200 was expensive when I bought it and I now see it has only increased, so that is something to be mindful of alongside that light protection it offers.
