Whether it be the weight, proportion or feeling in the hand, the Windlass Collection Swords are replicas in a class of their own.

This replica is a reproduction of an article found in the Royal Armouries, a sword believed to have been found in the River Thames before finding its way into the Tower of London collection and dating to around 1400-1430, this is the sort of hand-and-a-half sword that was often carried by knights and men-at-arms, and it features a two-handed hilt with the scent-stopper pommel.

This sword strikes with authority, despite the narrow appearance. This is due to the surprisingly thick spine for most of the length of the blade, making it very stiff, and ideally suited to half-swording and thrusting into things like mail voiders at the armpits of an enemy knight’s armor. This replica is crafted with a is hand forged by a skilled blacksmith exactly in the same manner as the original, but with superior modern 1080 high carbon steel that is fully tempered and is distally tapered for proper weight distribution. The sheath is made to replicate one of the period, with a wood body and covered with leather. The tip is reinforced with a brass chape that features a traditional cut-out.

Each sword comes in a unique sword box, and a certificate of authenticity.

  • Viking Dragon Axe

The battle axes of the High Middle Ages that were preferred by the Vikings are probably advanced developments of Frankish throwing axes. Their blades have straight upper edges, while the sharp edges were usually curved toward the handle. Their handles were too long to throw; instead, they were used in close combat with shields.

This Viking battle axe has a blade of hand forged carbon steel which is fastened to a hardwood handle. Both sides of the blade are etched with a decorative Celtic knot pattern that features a dragon's head.

    Handle Length: 66.5 cm

A weapon unequalled in elegance and grace: the classic French rapier. The grip itself is made of horn wrapped with golden wire for a stunning effect. When used with a French parrying dagger, this classic rapier forms part of a deadly set that was especially appreciated by duellists. Our classic French rapier comes with its own scabbard.

  • The Christus Imperat Rapier

    2 Review(s)

A rapier of this identical form and proportions is currently housed in The Royal Armouries (formerly the Tower of London).

The flamboyantly formed hilt is both beautiful and functional. It’s forward plates are pierced and show lavish birds among foliage, while the bars of the guard are slender both defending the hand and having an upward loop to catch an opponent’s blade. The heavy pommel allows for a more balanced feel for fighting. The blade is etched on both sides of the ricasso with the Latin phrase CHRISTUS IMPERAT which means “Christ Commands.”

  • Steel Stiletto Dagger

Stiletto daggers originated in northern Italy, but they were very popular throughout Europe during the entire Renaissance era. Renaissance assassins loved to used stilettos because they effectively sliced through the heavy clothing that people wore at that time.

The pointed, triangular blade also fits neatly through plate armor, and a knight would use a misericorde (mercy) to finish off a floundering opponent as required. From the blade to the handsomely rounded grip and pear-shaped pommel, our misericorde is made of steel. A short, rounded crossguard adds the finishing touch. The mount and chape of the leather scabbard included are also made of steel.

    Blade length: 21.5 cm
    Grip length: 10 cm
    Weight: 340 g

  • 17th Century Italian Rapier

The hand-forged, high carbon steel, fully tempered blade features a wide fuller to lighten and strengthen it for thrusting and the heavy ricasso provides extra strength to the main stress area. The blade features a fine point, so it excels at thrusting.
