Our Churburg Bascinet dates from approximately 1360 - 1390 and is based on a helmet that is part of a suit of armour that can be found in the Matsh family castle. It is constructed from 14 gauge steel making it perfect for the re-enactment field. It includes a movable visor with removable pin fixing for quick removal as well as vervelles to allow the attachment of an aventail. Our Churburg Bascinet features a well-padded lining and buckled leather chin strap.
