A transition from the Viking sword to the classic medieval sword, our medieval sword is probably Oakeshott type X. Swords like this one were very popular for centuries.

The double-edged, hardly tapered blade has a long, relatively wide fuller which makes it balance very well. The curved, flared crossguard provides lots of protection for your hand. Thanks to its leather covering, the grip is comfortable to grasp. The wheel pommel is riveted. Our classic medieval sword comes with a scabbard.

Quality

Sword is of a very solid construction. The blade joins the guard well, nothing rattles and the blade flexes well and is quite hard.

Cuts well. Pommel and wrap are perfect, since they don't dig into your hand and are finished smoothly. The leather is also of good quality.quality. Polish and finish are very good.

This sword is very good value for money. The main drawback to this sword, is that it is quite heavy, which is exacerbated by the blade length. Whilst this adds to its cutting potential, an absolute beginner should get a shorter sword, as it will be easier to get used to.
