  • DAMAGED - Battlecry Tourney Viking Sword

DAMAGE: Pommel off centre, twisted blade
    Quantity: 3

Our Tourney Series Sparring and Stage Swords will set a new standard in this price point of re-enactment weaponry. Features like thru-tang handle construction, peened stainless steel pommel and guard and 2mm rounded edge thickness.

The cord wrapped leather grip feels exceptional in the hand with an oval cross section and slight barrel shape to keep fatigue at bay. The grip is large enough to accommodate armoured hands. A respectable fuller runs the length of the blade to lighten and counter balance the sword overall.

The blade is forged from 9260 spring steel and is tempered to around 50 Hrc. A wood core and leather wrapped scabbard tipped with a stainless chape comes with each sword. The guard needs special mention, featuring the King-Peen system. King-Peen is essentially a steel tab on the guard under the grip that is pinned through the tang of the sword. This process keeps the guard from working loose without compromising the strength of the hilt. The pommel is pressed into place and hot peened.

  • DAMAGED - Admiral Nelson's Fighting Sword

DAMAGE: Discoloured brass around scabbard loops
    Quantity: 1

The British Officer’s 5 Ball Spadroon was introduced in the 1780’s and was the first attempt at a uniform pattern sword for the British Military. It was called the 5 Ball Spadroon because of the decoration on the guard. This sword is a faithful replica of the one worn by the wax mannequin of Lord Nelson that was placed on display in Westminster Abbey in 1806.

It features an undecorated, tempered high-carbon steel blade. The ornate brass hilt features a side ring and reeded faux ivory grip intersected with a brass band featuring a fouled anchor and crown. The wooden scabbard is covered with black leather and features brass fittings and 2 hanging rings. The locket is stamped with the fouled anchor on one side and “Richard Teed, Strand” on the reverse.

  • DAMAGED - Chinese Pudao

    DAMAGE: Bent tip.
    Quantity: 1

The Chinese Pudao, originally an infantry weapon, has been adopted into the martial arts and its use in the hands of a skilled practitioner is spectacular. Our Pudao (SH2072) is a weapon to be coveted by the infantry of old and modern martial artists alike. The high-carbon tempered steel blade has an aggressive distal taper to promote quickness and balance and a long tang for strength, while the oak staff is tightly wrapped in a traditional pattern to optimize handling and adds to the distinctive appearance, as do the dragon-head bronzed steel blade collar and bell tassel. This weapon combines the best attributes of the sword and staff.
