Viking Axes

Battle Axes were one of the most fearsome weapons used by the Viking and Anglo-Saxons alike. The shape of the axe head differed according to its purpose. Broad headed 2 handed axes that appeared towards the end of the period were specialised weapons that were almost a distinguishing mark of the Anglo-Danish Huscarls at the Battle of Hastings. Beaded Axes are sometimes identified as being specifically Nordic in origin. We offer a great rage of Viking Axes. From the broad bladed battle axes to the francisca style throwing axes we are sure to have an axe that suits your needs. We even stock axe heads with 3mm edges that are suitable for re-enactment.

  • Valknut & Ravens Odin Axe

Honouring the legends of the Viking age, this finely crafted axe features the Valknut—an ancient symbol linked with Odin and the warriors chosen for Valhalla. The engraved ravens pay tribute to Huginn and Muninn, Odin’s watchful companions, making this piece a striking representation of Norse belief and warrior culture.

Solidly made with a forged head and a traditional wooden haft, this Viking-inspired axe captures the rugged simplicity of historical craftsmanship. Designed for collectors and students of Norse history, it serves as an impressive display piece for any longhouse, armoury, or mead-hall wall.

A powerful reminder of the stories, symbols and sagas that shaped the world of the North.
