  • Merovingian Seax

The seax (also called sax, seaxe, and hadseax) was the weapon of choice of Germanic tribes between the early Middle Ages and the Viking era. There are many variations with many different blade lengths: the Merovingian Seax was used as a tool as well as a weapon.

Our lightweight broad seax has a distinctive blade form and its cutting edge is on the long side of the single-edged blade. A decorative lozenge pattern and stripes are etched into the blade on both sides. Brass studs in the wooden grip add to the decorative effect and also give you a better grip on this seax. The leather scabbard is riveted at the top and bottom and laces on one side.

  • Francisca Viking Axe - Antiqued

The Francisca so named for its Frankish origins, was used by the Vikings both as a throwing weapon and for close-quarters combat. Its graceful lines are legendary but the upswept point and downturned edge were both capable of penetrating chain mail.

Our Francisca features a forged head with an antiqued finish and a swelled-end hardwood shaft for secure head retention.

Please note: Axe shafts are not covered by our manufacturer’s warranty and will not be replaced when they break. Axe shafts can break under a variety of different conditions and will normally be replaced on a fairly regular basis. To prolong the life of your axe head, we recommend never throwing 2 axes into the same target and throwing on a range with a soft surface (such as grass).

  • Viking Thane Axe

This Windlass hand axe features many traits common to the Norse hatchets we've come to love through the years. The solid, one-piece forged head is strong X46Cr13 high-grade stainless steel with a 52 RC. The comfortably contoured handle is Sissoo, a North Indian hardwood and it's capped with a handsome genuine bone butt cap. Even better are the Norse engravings unique to our axe that are deeply etched on both sides of the handle, and on the bone end cap is a depiction of Thor's mighty hammer, Mjolnir.

Includes leather belt sheath. Handy in size and gorgeous on display.
Comes in a faux fur lined box.

  • Asgard Axe and Knife Box Set

Here's a gorgeous set of "belt tools" inspired by Norse mythology, attractively stored in an "Asgard Creations" gift/display box.

The axe is wrapped in leather and faux fur. The hardwood handle is replete with nordic runes: Raido (journey), Fehu (wealth), Wunjo (joy), Ehwaz (movement), Naudiz (need), Eihwaz (defense), Teiwaz (warrior), Othila (separate), and Thuisaz (giant). The high carbon steel head is forged from 1055 carbon steel and struck with additional Viking symbols and is thick enough for serious chopping and has a sharp edge.

The knife features a raven head pommel, the guard, and the pommel have a rough-forged finish that looks fresh out of the dwarves' smithy. The carbon steel blade comes sharpened and is easy to resharpen after you've used it for a while. The spine of the blade makes this knife suitable for mild chopping as well as precise cutting. This is a medium-sized knife with a generous handle. The grip is high-quality leather wrapped around a full tang and the raised laces do a superb job of providing a secure grasp in wet situations. Includes leather belt sheath.

The rustic wooden box has leather straps to secure the axe and knife for carrying.

  • Gurkha Officer's Kukri (Official Spec.)

    3 Review(s)

Our Officer’s Kukri is manufactured by Windlass Steelcrafts. It is a little smaller than the standard regimental weapon, but its grip is made of natural buffalo horn. The blade of tempered carbon steel came from the same forge that has made the official edged weapons of the Indian Army for years. The officer's model has a short, narrow fuller from the grip to the curve of the blade and the typical cutouts that symbolise the god Shiva's trident. It has a full tang, which is riveted to the brass pommel end.

This Officer’s Kukri includes a wooden scabbard covered with black buffalo leather and a brass chape. At the back, there are two pockets for the smaller accompanying knives, the karda and chakmak. The holder for the belt loop is removable as required.

  • WWI M1916 'Avenger' French Fighting Knife

Every army needs a close-quarters weapon, even when it has guns because it’s inevitable that somebody’s going to end up within breathing distance of an enemy occasionally. This dagger was often dubbed “Le Vengeur de 1870”  (The Avenger of 1870), a wistful reference to the French loss to the Prussian Army in 1870. The design was simple and practical enough to last into WWII. Proving that the sincerest form of flattery is actually thievery, Germany confiscated large quantities of these knives when they defeated France and took them on their roadshow to Norway.

Originals now sometimes sell for over $250 on the antique weapons market. The blade design inspired the US M1918 Trench Knife (of course, with the addition of the famous “knuckle” grip). Like the originals, this stout replica has a 6-3/4″ blade and is 11″ overall. Steel scabbard replicates the original.

    Overall Length: 28cm
    Blade Length: 17cm
    Blade: High Carbon Steel
    Edge: Sharp

The dirks used during the Scottish Renaissance are advanced developments of the kidney dagger and emerged in the form shown toward the end of the 16th century. The blade is long and single-edged, and it even has a false edge close to the point. Three decorative fullers are offset toward the back edge, not centred.

The riveted, hardwood grip is carved with a lozenge pattern that fits any hand well. Our Scottish Renaissance dirk comes with a scabbard including a mount and chape made of metal. The scabbard is also designed to be used with a holder.
