Julius Caesar was one of Rome’s most successful generals. He played a pivotal role in the demise of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire that followed. His victories in the Gallic Wars extended Rome’s territory to the English Channel and the Rhine and in 54BC he invaded Britain. He was ordered to step down from his military command after the conclusion of the Gallic Wars but instead he crossed the Rubicon with the 13th Legion and entered Roman Italy under arms, where he quickly seized power and became Emperor.
Our Julius Caesar Sword is crafted in the world famous Art Gladius factory in Toledo, Spain. The antiqued bronze hilt is heavily adorned with Roman style reliefs and features the letters SPQR (Senātus Populus que Rōmānus) on the guard. The large pommel is topped with an Imperial Eagle (Aquila). The Pompeii style stainless steel blade is richly adorned with engravings. This sword is designed for display only.

Quality Price Value
Probably more suited to decoration than re-enactment as it is far too ornate to be a actual combat weapon, and the weight (over 1.5kg) would cause problems for most people if used for an extended period.
All in all a terrific sword, well worth the money and beautifully made. I will certainly be placing more purchases with The Knight Shop in the future. (Posted on 12/08/2016) - Very happy Review by Karl
- What more can you ask for?. This sword is the real deal. The weight and balance is perfect. I purchased for a fancy dress outfit but its mush more then that and will find a place pride of place in my study with my other roman items. My only regret is not being able to purchase a scabbard for this particular sword, however it may persuade me to purchase another with the scabbard in the near future. (Posted on 19/10/2015)
