Towards the end of the 14th century, arm armour evolved from reinforced leather armour into contoured plate armour that fully enclosed the arms and elbows. This offered much better protection at the cost of a little less mobility. Our Churburg Arm Armour is a replica of some in Churburg Castle which is dated to 14th Century Italy. It is crafted from 16 gauge steel making it great for re-enactment and is fastened by buckled leather straps.
Steel thickness may vary due to the handcrafted methods used on its manufacturing.
