This style Roman Legionary Helmet or "galea" dates from the 1st Century BC to the 2nd century AD. It is of the "Imperial Gallic" type, a style influenced heavily by the craftsmen of Gaul (France). This style of helmet was no doubt worn by Roman Legionaries during Julius Caesar's invasion of Britain and was worn by the soldiers that garrisoned Hadrian's Wall.
Our Miniature Roman Centurion Helmet is handcrafted from steel and brass and features hinged cheek pieces. Comes complete with stand (may vary from that shown in picture).

I was lucky enough to get this in the January sale, but it would have still been worth full price. Product is well made and came nice and polished. Plume is thick and full. Shipping was speedy and the item was well packaged. My delivery instructions were hand written on the box to aid Parcel Force delivery. I cannot fault the company or the item. Mine came with a wooden stand and not the one pictured - but I prefer the wooden stand. (Posted on 06/01/2018)Quality Price Value
