The English iron hat is a helmet shaped like a wide-brimmed hat. It is made of steel and provides protection from things coming down from above, like a hail of arrows or a sword for example. Many helmets of old restricted their wearers' vision or ability to breathe, but not the crusader kettle hat. It is also lighter than you think!

This English iron hat has an adjustable liner so it can fit almost any head. Lightweight and adjustable, it is very comfortable to wear. A leather chinstrap with buckle makes sure that this English iron hat stays on your head.

Our elongated heater shield is made of robust wood with a slight curve. The front of the shield is emblazoned with a red cross (the colour may vary slightly because each shield is hand painted) on a white background – the typical symbol of crusaders or Templar knights. The shield is covered in canvas and has leather arm and shoulder straps at the back. Our crusader shield is easy to handle and comfortable for use.

This classic cape with hood is just like the ones the crusaders wore when they were fighting the infidels in the Holy Land. Of course the very large, very red cross which is stitched on the cape over its wearer's heart is its most important feature. Made of heavyweight, 100 percent cotton, our white cape with wine red cross measures approx. 144 cm from the shoulder down. It fastens at the throat with a drawstring. The hood is very roomy and ends in a medieval liripipe.
