Renaissance wax polish was originally formulated in the British Museum research laboratories in the early 1950's, in response to a discussion amongst museum technicians at an international conference on fine-art conservation. It's a refined wax blended to a formula used by the British Museum and restoration specialists internationally to revive and protect valuable furniture, leather, paintings, metals, marble, ivory etc. Freshens colours, imparts soft sheen.

Maybe I lack of good polish skills but this product somehow does not fulfill my wishes when it comes to nice shine of my sabre blade. It seems to give good protection against rust on the other hand. The description of the product says also it shall clean metals by using a micro-crystalline formula which I couldn´t observe. In the end it is a product for conservation and I have no doubt that if you spend a little more time than I did on polishing (and doing it with patience) it can give your blade a shiny look. In addition to that this Wax is enough for polishing stuff a thousand times. You just need a tiny bit of it. If you look for stuff like this give it a try. The price is okay.
