Battlecry has added every swashbuckler’s and pirate’s favorite sword to its line: the Cutlass. The Cutlass was prized for its compact length, which was more suitable for the tight confines of a ship. This Battlecry Cutlass would do any seafarer proud, with a slightly upswept blade that has a clip point tip that’s perfect for thrusting.

The basket is attractively decorated with cut-outs. Top-quality, genuine leather scabbard with metal throat and chape. Scabbard includes attached frog and belt loop. The 1065 high carbon steel has a darkened, battle-hardened finish, so it’s well protected from the frequent rust spots and stains that occur so often from everyday practice and exposure to the elements.

The blade has a full tang and is tempered to a low 50s RC. This pre-sharpened blade has gone through rigorous testing. The hands-on nature of the manufacturing by master smiths makes this line unique.

Includes a certificate of authenticity signed by each smith that touched your blade through every step of the forging process. Also includes "Battlecry" sticker.

The rapier began to develop at around the turn of the 15th century as the Spanish espada ropera, or "dress sword". It was a fast and light single handed sword designed for cutting and thrusting. In 1570 the Italian swordmaster Signior Rocco Bonetti settled in England and advocated the use of the rapier for thrusting as opposed to cutting when engaged in a duel. Although it was generally seen as a civilian weapon, more robust versions such as the Pappenheimer Rapier were developed for battlefield use and saw service in conflicts such as the English Civil War. Many rapier treatises still survive including "The Schoole of the Noble and Worthy Science of Defence" written in England in 1617 by Joseph Swetnam.

Our Renaissance Rapier features a hand forged complex hilt constructed from steel and polished to a bright finish. The wire-bound handle is both attractive and functional - allowing for a firmer grip than the leather bound equivalent. The hand forged steel blade is housed in a well made wooden scabbard with leather covering and steel fittings. This sword is blunt and designed for display only.

This Italian sword dates back to the first half of the nineteenth century where it was worn on the occasion of parades and ceremonies. A similar sword belonged to the Swedish General Gustaf Wilhelm Tibell.

The double-edged and pointed blade is made of steel. The brass-plated metal hilt has a handle that is shaped like the head of a dragon, as well as the bridge protecting the knuckles which has the shape of a gothic-style griffin.

These pistols were used until the beginning of the 19th century and, due to their low effectiveness, they were only used as weapons that complemented hand-to-hand confrontations in which the use of swords was necessary.

Made of metal with a carving that goes from the trigger to the barrel tip. Its hilt is made of resin and decorated with a headpiece in engraved silver metal.
