The Wakizashi is most often worn in conjunction with a Katana, which would demonstrate that the wearer was of the Samurai class. All of our Wakizashi swords for sale are made with traditional Japanese forging techniques. At The Knight Shop, we stock for all abilities and needs including the Iaito, an imitation Katana used for practicing the Japanese martial art of Iaido. As such, Iaito’s are intended as practice weapons in the learning process allowing students to practice with a blunt blade.

Miniature Katana Letter Opener

A katana is a Japanese sword characterized by a curved, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands. Developed later than the Tachi, it was used by samurai in feudal Japan.

Our Japanese Tanto is constructed in the world famous Art Gladius sword factory in Toledo, Spain. Toledo has a reputation for producing some of the finest swords in Europe and has been the centre of sword production for centuries.

It features an antiqued decorated tsuba and hilt fittings with a cotton wrapped imitation ray-skin grip. The polished stainless steel blade is sharp and housed in a plastic scabbard with metal fittings. Manufactured for display only.
