Robin Hood Sword Letter Opener
Robin Hood (Robyn Hode in earlier manuscripts) was a heroic outlaw from English folklore. He is traditionally associated with "robbing from the rich to give to the poor" and was both an excellent archer and swordsman. There are many legends surrounding him, the most popular of which sees him fighting the Sheriff of Nottingham and evil Prince John whilst King Richard was away fighting in the Crusades.

William Wallace Braveheart Letter Opener - Bronze
Sir William Wallace was a Scottish knight and one of the main leaders in the Wars of Scottish Independence. In September 1297 he defeated the English army at the Battle of Stirling Bridge. After the battle he was appointed Guardian of Scotland and served until he was defeated at the Battle of Falkirk in 1298. He continued to fight for Scottish independence until he was captured in 1305 executed in London for crimes of High Treason. In death his exploits passed into legend. Sir Walter Scott wrote about him in “Exploits and Death of William Wallace – the “Hero of Scotland”.

Black Prince Letter Opener - Silver
Edward of Woodstock, Prince of Wales, was the eldest son of King Edward III of England. In his early life he was known as Edward of Woodstock after his birthplace in Oxfordshire. He was never known as The Black Prince during his lifetime, the title seems to have originated during the 16th century. He was an exceptional military leader and commanded the vanguard of the English army at the Battle of Crecy when he was only 16. In 1348 he founded and became the first Knight of the Order of the Garter.
