Triple Ball Flail

Flails were designed to inflict crushing injuries on even the most armoured of adversaries. Even plate armour was unable to withstand the crushing power of the Morning Star! Their longs, flexible chains meant that they could even work their way around the sides of shields!

A scale reproduction of a three-headed horse flail. Very effective shot weapon in close melees, in use between the twelfth and fifteenth centuries especially in central Europe. Handle in national hard fiber wood with a shaped and ringed handle. The upper end of the handle is equipped with three metal chains connected to as many painted wooden balls with burnished metal jugs, while the lower one is closed by a knob with a leather strap. The fringed finish of the upper end of the handle is of the same material.
