Details
This nasal helmet is a replica of one that is on display in Prague Castle that is alleged to have belonged to King Wenceslas, a Czech monarch from the 10th century. The 1 piece dome construction of this style of helmet was much stronger (but more expensive to produce) than the more popular spangenhelms of the period. The original helmet was damaged at some point in time by impact from a sharp object. The decorations featured on the nasal bar of the original are not shown on our helmet which has been left blank for your own designs.
Our Wenceslas Style Nasal Helmet is constructed from 18 gauge steel and comes complete with a (separate) padded lining cap that can be glued in if required. Not recommended for (contact) re-enactment.
