  • Classic Medieval Sword

    1 Review(s)

A transition from the Viking sword to the classic medieval sword, our medieval sword is probably Oakeshott type X. Swords like this one were very popular for centuries.

The double-edged, hardly tapered blade has a long, relatively wide fuller which makes it balance very well. The curved, flared crossguard provides lots of protection for your hand. Thanks to its leather covering, the grip is comfortable to grasp. The wheel pommel is riveted. Our classic medieval sword comes with a scabbard.

  • DAMAGED - French Briquet Short Sword

    DAMAGEwobbles in hand.
    Quantity: 1

Excelling as a close-quarters and melee weapon, the slightly upswept blade could be used for slashing, but because of its length and thickness it was also an excellent stabbing weapon. Napoleon’s infantry units, artillery, grenadiers, NCO’s and corporals traipsed much of Europe with this shiny cohort at their sides.

This sword wasn’t always involved with grisly work, it was also used as a field tool. And after a victory, it was perfect for opening Champagne bottles! Distally tapered, it comes from the factory sharpened and includes leather scabbard with brass throat and chape.

  • Othala Viking Bearded Axe Set

Braid your skegg (beard) and don your Spangenhelm, because this Viking-inspired axe is designed to provoke your inner wanderlust. The handsomely finished handle is engraved with an elder Futhark Othala rune, associated with inheritance and ancestral land, to remind you of your home as you conquer new territories.

This is an heirloom quality set, complete with a hand-forged skinning knife and wooden display/storage box engraved with knotwork and Norse dragons. Inside, the bottom of the wooden box is lined with black velvet. Two leather straps buckle your axe safely in place and the box’s brass hinges and clasp locks are antiqued.

The axe: The narrow-bladed axe head is reminiscent of Viking-era bearded axes found all over Norway and enables this axe to perform as a stout chopper that’s light enough to be used with one hand if desired. The American Hickory haft is stained deep brown. It features a groove that runs most of its length and is accented at the ends with brass tacks. The leather grip has been given an aged finish to look “experienced”.  This set includes a leather blade cover for safe carry.

    Overall Length: 61cm
    Axe Head: 15cm
    Blade Material: 1075 Carbon Steel
    Weight: 1.04kg

The knife: The mini skinner has a rough forged finish and is creatively hand-shaped with a ring grip that finishes with an artistic curlicue at the end. The leather sheath for this knife is provided with a leather thong long enough for neck, waist or shoulder carry.

    Overall Length: 11cm
    Blade Length: 6cm
    Weight: 104g

  • Black Prince Sword

The Black Prince was truly his father’s son. Son of King Edward III, one of the great warrior kings from England, the Prince of Wales was perhaps the most romantic figure in all of the Middle Ages. At the tender age of 16, Edward of Woodstock commanded a wing of the army and distinguished himself at the Battle of Crecy, where he routed a numerically superior French force. He was in sole command at the Battle of Poitiers, where he repeated his David and Goliath act. An illness took his life before he could assume the crown, but he left a legacy of heroism that is equaled by few. He was regarded by his English contemporaries as one of the greatest knights of his age and a model of chivalry.

His sword was left hanging over his tomb and was reported to have been stolen by Oliver Cromwell. A sword identical to the weapon carved on his effigy appeared in the mid-20th century and was obtained by Ewart Oakeshott. Mr Oakeshott carefully studied the sword and its patina, construction, and maker’s mark and was convinced it was the sword of the Black Prince.

This sword was developed during a period when sword makers were feverishly experimenting to create a more capable sword that was effective against developing plate armor. This is a highly effective example of a thrusting sword with some cutting capability. Designed with a diamond cross-section, the blade is stiff enough to deliver a strong two-handed thrust through plate armor.

Made by Windlass Steelcrafts with a 1080 high carbon steel blade it features straight quillons with a downturn and a leather-wrapped grip. The disc pommel has a chamfer that slopes to a smaller disc inlaid with a design featuring a four-heart clover. Includes a leather scabbard with a metal throat and chape.

    Overall Length: 112cm
    Blade Length: 88cm
    Blade Thickness: 1.1cm

  • DAMAGED - The Eagle - Eagle Head Gladius

DAMAGEDecoration has fallen off scabbard and poor finish.
    Quantity: 1

This official gladius is a detail-rich replica of the eagle sword from the movie. Of tempered carbon steel, the blade tapers from the cross guard into a kind of waistline, widening again before the point. This style of blade was named after Mainz, Germany, its place of discovery, and is the highest quality variant of the Roman gladius. The leaf-shaped Mainz blade was sturdier, heaver and better balanced than the Pompeii and Hispanicum styles. Officers in particular were equipped with this kind of gladius.

You can tell from the elaborate decoration of this gladius that this isn't a mere legionary sword. The finely crafted grip with decorative patterns ends seamlessly in the sculptural eagle head – by far the most distinctive feature on this exceptional sword. Covered with dark leather, the wooden scabbard boasts richly decorated metal plates. The relief on the chape shows a ruler surrounded by soldiers, and depicted on the throat is a legionary standing in front of a Roman temple. On the central plates there are classical Roman laurel vines completed by a laurel wreath insignia in the middle of the scabbard. A leather shoulder strap is attached with metal rings to the scabbard. All metal parts have been artificially antiqued to give the Eagle Head Gladius an especially battle-tested look.

  • Battlecry Cutlass

Battlecry has added every swashbuckler’s and pirate’s favorite sword to its line: the Cutlass. The Cutlass was prized for its compact length, which was more suitable for the tight confines of a ship. This Battlecry Cutlass would do any seafarer proud, with a slightly upswept blade that has a clip point tip that’s perfect for thrusting.

The basket is attractively decorated with cut-outs. Top-quality, genuine leather scabbard with metal throat and chape. Scabbard includes attached frog and belt loop. The 1065 high carbon steel has a darkened, battle-hardened finish, so it’s well protected from the frequent rust spots and stains that occur so often from everyday practice and exposure to the elements.

The blade has a full tang and is tempered to a low 50s RC. This pre-sharpened blade has gone through rigorous testing. The hands-on nature of the manufacturing by master smiths makes this line unique.

Includes a certificate of authenticity signed by each smith that touched your blade through every step of the forging process. Also includes "Battlecry" sticker.

    Blade Length: 62cm

  • French Infantry Artillery Short Sword (Glaive)

The French military based this sword on the famous and effective Roman Gladius, the standard short sword of the Roman Legionnaires. Originally issued in 1816, the solid brass hilt had a grip that resembled fish scales. When the sword was updated and reissued as the Model 1831, the grip was redesigned with a ringed pattern.

Although it could be used as a combat weapon in a pinch, it was primarily used as a machete to clear fields for guns. Because of its usefulness as an all-around tool, it gained a nick-name, “coupe-chou” (roughly translating to “cabbage cutter”). The Model 1831 remained in service until about 1870, and its design was adapted by the United States to create the Model 1832 Foot Artillery Sword.

This faithful replica is just like the originals, with a solid brass hilt and a scabbard with a brass tip and throat. Also includes belt frog. Provided with a sharpened edge.

    Overall Length: 64cm
    Blade Length: 49cm
    Blade Width: 4.4cm
Blade Material: 1075 High Carbon Steel
    Weight: 1.2kg
