In the second half of the 15th century, the art of crafting plate armour reached its peak when it came to fusing form with function. Despite its weight, heavy plate armour allows the warrior wearing it enough freedom of movement.

Our Gothic plate gauntlets are typical parts of plate armour suits. Made of real steel, these plate gauntlets are fastened to your wrists with an adjustable leather strap and buckle, and have a leather tie for the fingers. They are lined with mittens made of genuine, soft leather. The thumb plates are hinged to the back of the hand. The underarm edges of our Gothic plate gauntlets are flanged. This type of large sword was used throughout the Middle Ages. Sized so that it could be used easily with one hand, but large enough for a powerful two-handed cut. The blade, guard and pommel are made of carbon steel. The wooden handle is equipped with rawhide and wire.

The 1840 Heavy Cavalry Saber known as the ”’Wrist Breaker” because of it’s heavy forward weight, saw service in the US from it’s issue in 1840 through the Civil War and into the Plains Indians wars of the 1870s and 80s.

Features a tempered 1065 carbon steel blade, solid brass pommel and three bar guard, and a wood grip wrapped in leather and brass wire. Includes a steel scabbard with hanging rings.

This glorious 13th-century helmet is worthy of King Ferdinand III of Castile and representative of many helms of that period around Europe.

Our replica is modeled directly on an English manuscript of circa 1250, held by the British Library (catalog number BL Royal 2 A XXII 'Westminster Psalter'). Folio 220 shows the kneeling and praying knight, with the great helm held above his head.
