Windlass Swords (Windlass Steelcrafts), are based in India and are one of the oldest sword manufacturers still in production. They were established in 1943 to supply kukris to the British Army. Over the decades they have expanded to become one of the largest suppliers of military swords in the world. They are also well known for making high quality licensed replicas of swords, armour and historical clothing seen in Hollywood movies.
Their swords are forged from high quality, high carbon steel and tempered with the most advanced heat treating process available. They are flexible, well balanced and lightweight making them ideal for practicing historical swordplay techniques. Windlass Swords are durable and are either of threaded or peened construction with the tang forged as part of the blade. They are blunt and have a 1mm edge although sharpening service is available on these swords.

Made of real steel, these plate gauntlets are fastened to your wrists with an adjustable leather strap and buckle, and have a leather tie for the fingers. Knights Hospitaller Nasal Helmet
Our Knights Hospitaller Nasal Helmet is a replica of the helmet worn by “the Hospitaller” in Ridley Scott’s “Kingdom of Heaven”. It is constructed from 18 gauge steel and features a hinged nasal bar, leather liner and buckled chin strap.

16" Plain Buckler - 18 gauge
The buckler could be hung from the sword scabbard when two hands were needed for a pike or staff weapon. So widespread was its use, that the exercise of sword and buckler became one of the most common sports of the Renaissance.

Gothic Suit of Armour
Plate armour came into popular usage during the middle of the 13th century, succeeded by full plate armour during the late 14th century. This is a reproduction of the popular Italian Gothic design of the period. This armour, acclaimed throughout Europe, offered a great deal of protection and comfort. It provided a rounded surface to deflect both lance and sword.

Gothic Sallet With Bevor - 18 Gauge
Our Gothic Sallet with Bevor is a late variant (approx. 1480) with a movable visor. When the visor is closed it meets the bevor, but the knight inside would be able to turn his head easily.
