  • Huginn & Muninn Viking Shield

Our painted Viking shield features Huginn and Muninn, Odin’s two ravens. Huginn is the old Norse word for “thought” and Muninn is the old Norse word for “memory”. Every morning at sunrise he sends them off to fly throughout all of the nine realms to gather information on what is happening.

It is constructed from thick wood and features a wooden grip and steel boss. It is edged with rawhide to protect from sword and axe cuts. This shield is a little on the light side for full contact re-enactment but is perfect for theatre and film work and great as a display piece.

    Diameter: 60cm

  • Re-enactment Axe Head

These axe heads are made specifically for re-enactment and living history use. They are crafted with a thickened edge section that can be blunted down to meet your specific requirements.

Please note the axe head is supplied with a rounded edge that is approximately 1-2mm thick, giving a more realistic impression for those who do not wish to use the axe for stage combat. If the axe is to be used for stage combat or sparring the edge will need to blunted further with a file or grinder to achieve the desired edge thickness.

Supplied as a head only - wooden shaft NOT supplied with this item.
