Battlecry Arkansas Toothpick
The classic knife of the American frontier, with a modern finish on the blade, pommel and guard. This knife was designed to be big, intimidating, and effective against threats existing in the American wilderness - 4 or 2-legged. The long, thin blade is designed for quickness and forged from 1075 high carbon steel and arrives sharp right out of the box. The blade has a wide, continuous tang for strength and durability that is peened at the pommel. The handle is classically coffin-shaped and stained a stealthy deep black/brown.

Langeid Viking Sword
When a new road was being constructed in the Langeid area of southern Norway's Setesdal valley in 2011, workers discovered an ancient Viking burial ground. Along with coins and a broadaxe, an archaeological team exhumed a startling, unique sword that hadn't seen the light of day for over 10 centuries. Thousands of Viking era swords, in various states of completeness, have been discovered in Norway, but not one of them has an elaborately inscribed hilt like the one exhibited by the weapon they found that day.

The pommel and downsloping guard are emblazoned with gold and copper, displaying a mixture of Latin characters, Christian and runic symbols whose exact meanings are lost to time, with some characters apparently reversed for the sake of symmetry. The top of the pommel in portrays a hand holding a cross, possibly representing the hand of Jesus or God.
This faithful replica is a fully functioning sword with a carbon steel blade that's battle capable like the original. The pommel and guard are made of iron and silver-plated like the original, and the markings are emblazoned in real gold and copper. We've widened the grip slightly for the sake of comfort, but the wire-wrapping is twisted in the same patterns that a prominent Viking hand wielded centuries ago.
The original scabbard had long since deteriorated, so we created one of high-quality leather and laser-engraved it with a pattern created from the pommel imagery. The scabbard comes with its own belt.

Confederate Sabre
Our Confederate saber would have been primarily used by soldiers riding for famous generals like Jeb Stuart, Wade Hampton and Nathan Bedford Forrest. They taught the Yankees the meaning of fear. This Confederate saber is lightweight (approx. 1 kg) and manageable. The back is relatively broad up to the center of percussion (CoP), which makes the blade extremely stable. And the fuller, which also stops at the CoP, is responsible for the reduced weight and resulting manageability.
Learn More
The blade curves more acutely as it nears the point, which magnifies the saber's cutting power. An accurate reproduction of a historical weapon (s. William Albaugh, "Confederate Edged Weapons", p. 137), the hand guard, the pommel, and even the wire wrapped around the brown leather that covers the grip are made of brass.

American Revolutionary War Sabre
Dated to around 1775, the prototype for this handsome sabre is pictured in "Swords & Blades of the American Revolution," a book by George C. Neumann that is very popular with collectors and sword fans. The single-edged, subtly curved blade has two fullers. A narrow, deep fuller almost runs along the entire length of the blade. The other one is shorter, shallower, and much wider. Because of them, this amazing saber weighs less than one kilogram.

Nevertheless, our American Revolutionary War sabre is perfectly balanced for delivering mighty cuts: like most powerful cutting weapons, it is slightly top-heavy. The spiraling wooden grip is comfortable and easy to control, and the knuckle bow provides added hand protection.

DAMAGED - Battlecry Spanish Rapier
DAMAGE: Tang shredded so blade & hilt are detached.
Learn More
Quantity: 3
After hundreds of requests, Battlecry has added a classic rapier to the popular line of blackened, uniquely finished versions of history's great swords. This rapier features a very complex Spanish-style hilt and faceted pommel. The grip is hand-wound with blackened wire with woven wire rings on top and bottom.
The hand-forged, high carbon steel, fully tempered blade features a diamond cross-section to strengthen it for thrusting. Top-quality, genuine leather scabbard with deeply engraved floral pattern on the throat and tip. This type of sword was deadly effective as a dueling weapon. The 1065 high carbon steel has a darkened, battle-hardened finish, so it’s well protected from the frequent rust spots and stains that occur so often from everyday practice and exposure to the elements. The blade has an extra-wide tang and is tempering to a low 50s RC. The blade is thick for strength and peened to the pommel. This pre-sharpened blade has gone through rigorous testing.
The hands-on nature of the manufacturing by master smiths makes this line unique. Includes a certificate of authenticity signed by each smith that touched your blade through every step of the forging process.

Sword of General Maximus
At 76 cm long, this sword of tempered carbon steel is very long for a weapon from this era. To this end, Maximus' sword cannot be classed with the gladius style widely in use at the time, but is rather an early version of the longer spatha. Whereas the grip design does indeed align with the Roman gladius with its lathe-turned imitation ivory and the half spherical cross guard.

The latter as well as the pommel are made of beautifully grained wood with a red brown varnish and have typical Roman brass ornaments. This decoration continues in the brass details on the scabbard. The leather of the scabbard and matching sword belt are in the same red brown tone as the wooden elements of the grip.

Erbach Sword
This sword rests in the Schloss Erbach Armoury and is a fine example of a high medieval/renaissance sword (classified as an Oakeshott type XVIII A). This is truly a beautiful example of a bastard sword, effective in the cut and the thrust. The steel parts are highly decorative and the high carbon steel blade is lightly hollow ground, giving the sword a great feel with one or two hands. Includes scabbard.

Sword of St Michael
The blade has improved distal taper, making the sword livelier and quicker. The scabbard now has a wooden core underneath the leather exterior. The grip features leather that is dimpled using a historically authentic "wet-wrap" process, during which fine cord is tightly wrapped around a wet leather grip. When it's dry, the cord is removed and the leather is left attractively indented and provides improved texture and grip.
