Marshal Historical Helmets

Marshal Historical Helmets are manufactured for re-enactment. They are constructed from 12, 14 and 16 gauge steel making them incredibly durable in combat. Many are historically accurate designs and are modelled on existing pieces in museum collections or period artwork. Marshal Historical Helmets date from the early medieval period to the renaissance. The range also includes very heavy duty helmets designed for HMB and Bohurt. Marshal Historical Helmets are lined with adjustable padded linen liners and usually feature buckled leather chin straps.

  • Armet with Gorget - 12 & 14 gauge

Typical armets are made up of four pieces: a skull with a reinforced forehead, two cheek plates attached with hinges to the skull and a pointed visor. Cheek plates were closed by a pin and this was secured with a hook or metallic wire.

As it was made almost in the exact shape of the neck and chin, it was necessary to develop a side opening system to allow the easy removal of this helmet.
